Bubble Window Tint needs to be removed.

If you want to have the film removed we can do it,  our process is not the best option however it is the best we know.

Step 1, Clean the window on the outside.

Step 2, Apply a Black Plastic bag over the window and carefully cut it to the size of your glass.  ( the tighter you can be with it the better it will help you. )

Step 3, Spray a solution of water and 6 drops of baby shampoo for a slip agent.  Once you have the glass soaked place the bag on the inside of the glass to shape.  Place the vehicle in direct sunlight and wait about 15 mins.  If this trick helps you it will be now that you find out how easy it can be or how hard it will be.

Step 4, after lettingset for the 15 mins it should be nice and hot.  Get in the car and close the doors. Yes close them, it helps.  Start at the corner and get a clean line started and it should peel nice and steady away and at 45 degrees.  Don't get in a hurry and if not going so easy re-wet the glass between the plastic.  This helps sweat it off the glass.

Step 5, spray a solution of simple green is you must or find the lemon on that is yellow,  3 part solution to 1 water and let it eat the glue away.  medium steelwool works great to breakup the adhesive.  Once you scrub it wipe it off with papertowels and thank us later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you remove bubbling window tint without damaging the defroster? Yes. Our professional steam-removal process safely lifts old, bubbling film without damaging delicate rear window defroster lines or glass-mounted antennas. We avoid using blades on rear glass to ensure your heating elements remain fully functional. Why does my window tint look purple or bubbly? Purple color and bubbles indicate that the dyed film has failed due to UV exposure. This ruins both visibility and aesthetics. We recommend a full removal and an upgrade to 3M Crystalline for long-term durability and superior heat rejection. How long does window tint removal take? Most professional removals take between 1 to 3 hours. The timing depends on the age of the film and the amount of adhesive residue that needs to be safely neutralized to restore factory glass clarity. Can you repair just one window? Absolutely. If you had a window glass replaced or only one door is peeling, we can match the shade and heat rejection of your existing tint to ensure your vehicle maintains a uniform, professional look. Is it better to repair or replace old window tint? Once tint begins to bubble, peel, or turn purple, the adhesive and UV blockers have failed. A full removal and replacement is the only way to guarantee optical clarity and high-performance heat rejection. Will professional tint removal leave a mess in my car? No. Our technicians use protective coverings for your door panels and interior. We use specialized cleaners that dissolve adhesive without leaving behind chemical odors or sticky residue on your upholstery.
